**Bethesda will be participating in Operation Christmas Child again this year, with Elaine Wilson serving as coordinator (thanks, Elaine!).  Shoeboxes and information are available now in the main hall in front of the office.

**Help Wanted:  Immediate Need for a person to care for children in our child care center on Fridays.  What a neat opportunity this is to serve families with children and help in our Child Care ministry.  Contact the church/school office at 745-6676.

**The School 40th Anniversary celebration planning committee is having its first meeting on Wednesday, October 14, at 5:15 pm in the school office.  Feel free to join us if you are interested in serving on the committee or helping with the planning in any way.

**This week the ELC received a check for $4,000 which is the grant approved by the SD District LWML for the support of our Early Learning Center.  The grant provides funding for communication and billing software, technology to support it, teaching and learning supplies, and a parent portal.  This is a fantastic grant and we are grateful for the support of the members of the District LWML.

**Gaylan Sieg will be resuming his 8:00 am Sunday Bible study beginning on October 18.  He will continue with the Book of Esther.

**Of Course, there will also be CDB in the Fellowship Hall following the church service every Sunday.  They are currently studying Mark.

**DEADLINE FOR NEWSLETTER SUBMISSIONS IS OCTOBER 19!!!

**Christ Connection meets every Wednesday in the basement of the church at 6:30 pm.

**Don’t forget ladies Bible study group on Friday mornings at 9:00, in the Fellowship Hall.
